Pricing

What it costs, and why we won't guess before the first call

Three fixed-scope engagements, priced separately because most clients need only one or two, plus a fourth route for anything that doesn't fit that shape. Every figure below is a starting point — the real number depends on the format, the volume and what has already failed.

How to engage

What each one costs to start

  • 01

    Material assessment

From £14,000 for a single format. Covers drop, compression, humidity and transit testing against your real route, and a ranked shortlist with the failure modes of everything that didn't make it.

  • 02

    Supply chain mapping

From £9,500 per material family. Who can supply at your volume, their real lead times, and what your position looks like if one of them exits the market.

  • 03

    Line trials

From £18,000, run on your equipment or a shared trial line. What breaks mechanically before you commit to a purchase order — the jam, the seal, the four degrees the line can't hold.

  • 04

    Custom quotes

For multi-format programmes, ongoing advisory work, or a scope that mixes testing, mapping and trials from the start. We price these individually once we understand what's involved — there is no bundled rate card to discount from.

We quote after the call, not before

A price list would be a guess dressed up as a number. What a format actually costs to test depends on the route it travels, the volume you need supplied, and what you've already tried and ruled out. We ask first, then quote a fixed scope — no day rates, and no invoice that grows quietly as the project runs.

Questions about cost

What does a single-format assessment cost?

Single-format assessments start around £14,000. We quote after the first call, never before.

Do you charge day rates?

No. Every engagement is a fixed scope quoted up front, so the budget you agree to is the one you pay — not a rate card that runs longer than expected.

What if we need more than one engagement?

Most clients start with an assessment and only commission supply mapping or line trials once the material is worth supplying. We quote each stage on what the previous one found, not as a bundle sold up front.

Does the first call cost anything?

No. It's an hour, and it's usually enough to tell you whether there is a project here at all.
